Laabi Alexander Kofi calls for allocating Some Forest Compartments To Boost Cocoa Production In Ghana

Laabi Alexander Kofi (Natural Resources Advocate and a graduate from the University of Energy and Natural Resources) has called on the government to allocate a specific portion of the forest reserve for cocoa production. This request comes in light of the Finance Minister, Ato Forson, proposing the acquisition of 200,000 hectares of land. Kofi's appeal aims to strike a balance between sustainable forest management and the country's agricultural development goals, particularly in the cocoa sector. The proposed allocation would support the growth of Ghana's cocoa industry while ensuring responsible land use practices.
